Category: Let's talk
This idea came from something i heard on the radio yesterday.
They were asking the listeners to call in with what musician they thought would make a great president, and i thought this might be an interesting board topic.
none.
the answer is simple. me, of course. lol jk. i'd get us all bombed to hell.
rofl.
Slayer, anyone from slayer or chimaira.
frank Zappa. too bad he's dead.
Oh, anyone from the greatful Dead, Led Zeplin, or Joe Walsh. Tom araya. Um, maybe James Hetfield.
The lead singer of System Of A Down. Forgot about him.
Oh man. SoaD for President! I haven't got a clue what their views are on anything at all, but they'd be some entertaining speeches.
OKay, getting all aussie for a second and declaring that Natalie from Blue King Brown should be our Prime Minister. Actually, she should rule the world, but one step at a time.
Erm, for the americans? Ani Difranco! Can you imagine it?
Henry Rollins.
Henry Rolins sounds like it could work. I'd vote for him. Al from Ministry I'd vote for. Lol, Snoop dogg.
Oh, I have to go with Frank Zappa. Not only would he be as funny and outrageous as any of the others mentioned, but he had a damn good mind, and he would have had better ideas today than anyone currently running. As for Ani Difranco, I might vote for her if I could be sure she wouldn't want to outlaw penises. (Now, just a joke, ok?)
snoop dogg? wow!
Lol Reclusive thinker. I couldn't have said it better myself. Now I'm gonna go look up Frank Zapa on Wikipedia Because I'm not of sane mind to know who he is. lol
Heheheh, Reclusive. Ani would need a panel of academics, to poke her with pointy sticks if she slipped and men suddenly became second class citizens.
I still think someone should give her a global super-power to run though.
I say elton John, lol.
Another for Zappa
Okay, good. Zappa's winning so far... If you haven't heard his music or at least read his bio, you should. he was a creative genius!
Mike Patton. Someone suggested David Dramon from Disturbed at my school, and Edy VanHalen.
Oh god Fred Durst lol. I can just imagine it.
Lol, Britany Spears. Nevr mind, we'd be a third world country by that point.
lol good one
britany can hardly keep up with her own life, rather than a whole country.
Lol. I know. That's why she's divorced. lol She's a dumb ass, no offense.
Mortiis.
Stevie
Only thing you need to realize Zappa's commander and chief abilities: "Frank Zappa Meets the Mothers of Prevention"
I only wish he were alive today; he'd have a field day with Bush and his fellow cowboys.
Ok, I vote for zappa. I read some quotes by him, rotfl, and wow!!!
Have no idea who this person is, lol. oh well
I vote for Ozzy Osborne. LOL!
Oh yeah, if Zappa were alive today, he would certainly have a lot to say regarding the current administration!
Uh, yeah, lol, ozzy, he'd probably croak first, To be honest, I don't think he's gonna live much longer with all those drugs anyway.
Keith Richards? I bet that guy could outlive cockroaches. LOL!
hahahah. Now that would be interesting!
the lead singer from slip knot, lol they'd scream their speaches... or if it werent muisic i think it'd be cool to have dane cook as our president, at least he'd be funny... lol
I say Bono from U2, simply because he's an amazing songwriter and advocate for human rights and he's done so much for that field.
Yeah, I could go with that, if Zappa weren't in the race of course.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD
Ozzy, life would be one big party at last LOL
well, Willy Nelson of course. lol. Or toby Keith.
lol
Weird Al Yankovic, now that is the closest we'd get to Zappa these days.
I vote for Bono too. That would be pretty awesome actually. Yeah! Go Bono for president, lol.
i think johnny cash woud make a good president
the problem with that is he's dead now, but if he were alive i'd totally agree.
Not being into American politics, I really can't answer for president. Plus, I can't think of an English singer off the top of my head who I think would be suited for a position of ruler. But I can answer for Greek prime minister. I'm really surprised that I'm gonna say this, but Nikos Xylouris. I'd usually say Markos Vamvakaris, because he's a personal heroe of mine, both as a musician and as a human being, but Xylouris was a real heroe. He fought against the junta in 1973, risking his life to sing a traditional folk song to rouse the people to revolution, and he, like Markos, kept a level head about him, never letting fame get to him. He's still remembered fondly in his village, wrote alot of patriotic songs and from what I've heard, was a truly good man. Type in "Nikos Xylouris" Crete in Google and you'll see a few good pages.
You read my mind, I nominate Bono, with U2 being his cabinet/parlament. How about Sting? My friend sitting next to me just suggested that, I replied "you're strange".
I know this is old, but I vote for Bono as well.
Serj Tankian, sure--or David Draiman, but I'd vote Serj over David any day.
John Schaffer from Iced Earth!
if he were still living, frank zappa for president weird al for president of vice or vice president.
Oh man, what a list!
Elias Soriano, Shaun Morgan, Trent Reznor, Serj Tankian, Maynard James Keenan, Kurt Cobain (were he alive), & that's it for now . . . We've gotta go to the store!
Just saw, gotta post before I go!!
Corey Taylor from Slipknot/Stone Sour would be great!!!! Lol. So would Ozzy!! & yes, Bono, he really is an amazing man!
